Ariadne holds a PhD in food policy and social marketing from City University London, for which she explored the use of social marketing in a food policy context to help Greeks adopt healthy nutritional habits. She worked with the Health Sponsorship Council (New Zealand) for the "Feeding our Futures" National Social Marketing Program on Healthy Eating as an intern and with the Institute for Social Marketing (University of Stirling, UK) on a tobacco taxation research project. She also cooperates with the International University for the Bio-Environment (I.U.B.E.) about environmental sustainability issues. Her focus is on the use of social marketing to tackle obesity, having a particular interest in upstream social marketing and policy.
