Prof. Dr. Elisabeth Pott

Director of the Federal Centre for Health Education and Health Promotion (BZgA), Germany

Elisabeth Pott is a medical doctor with specialisation in public health, Honorary Professor at Hannover Medical School, Centre for Public Health, Institute for Epidemiology, Social Medicine and Health Systems Research. She is more than 20 years Director of the Federal Centre for Health Education (BZgA), the governmental authority for health promotion and prevention in Germany. Elisabeth Pott has an in-depths expertise in national and international public health issues and long-term experiences in developing national prevention campaigns e.g. on HIV/AIDS, tobacco and alcohol.

Elisabeth Pott also publishes and lectures on social marketing, national prevention campaigns, health promotion and public health.
