More than a million older and disabled people have trusted the BBC-run Switchover Help Scheme to support them as they switch to digital TV. Jackie Burdon has been in charge of its consumer and corporate PR from the Help Scheme's inception in 2007 to switchover completion this year. Previously she led PR campaigns for the BBC's digital TV services including the launch of high definition. She joined the BBC as a communications manager in its Press Office from a career in national journalism.
