We are delighted to announce that the 2013 Leading Social Change (LSC) Conference will be held as part of the World Social Marketing Conference (WSMC) in Toronto, on Wednesday 24 April , 2013.

The World Social Marketing Conference brings together the world’s leading thinkers and practitioners in the areas of social marketing, behavior change and behavior economics. The main conference takes place from Sunday April 21 to Tuesday April 23. On Wednesday, April 24, these experts will share their ideas with you at Leading Social Change 2013 with the focus on practical ideas, tools and inspiring case studies.

For the past four years, Leading Social Change has been the primary source of ideas, tools and inspiration for public sector and not-for-profit communications managers and their PR and Ad agencies. This year our program will be expanded to a full day of presentations and workshops on the application of behaviour change practice and science to the fields of health, environment, other social issues as well as to intra-disciplinary efforts to achieve social good.

Jeffrey Jordan - M.A. - Social change is Jeffrey's priority, evident in all his endeavors, from his academic research to his leadership at Rescue Social Change Group. As the founder of Social Branding®, Jeffrey focuses on the relationship between identity and behavior to change behavior through culture.

Stuart Jackson – founder of ICE. In his role as Chief Executive, Stuart is a passionate and ethical leader – inspiring and delivering sustainable change in communities and organisations across the UK. He is the main driving force and visionary behind ICE
Amanda Madden – Executive Director, ICE. At ICE she developed a social marketing division along with a set of core models and tools that are used, by the team and clients alike, to design, deliver and evidence tangible behaviour change outcomes. Within the public sector she has led both local and national campaigns such as Healthy Schools, Local Directgov and Government Connect.

Ross Gordon – University of Wollongong, Australia, Ross is a Research Fellow at the Centre for Health Initiatives, having joined in 2010. Previously he worked at The Institute for Social Marketing at The Open University (ISM-Open) and prior to that the ISM at the University of Stirling. His expertise lies in marketing principles, marketing communications, social marketing, and critical marketing teaching and research.

Yvette Thornley – the co-founder and co-chair of Leading Social Change.  With a deep expertise in building behaviour change marketing programs, Yvette leads marketing communications strategy at the Ontario Ministry of Health and Long Term Care.

Kelly Murumets is the President and CEO of ParticipACTION, the national voice of physical activity and sport participation in Canada. ParticipACTION has been an iconic Canadian brand since 1971 and was relaunched under Kelly's dynamic leadership in 2007. She has also been identified as one of the 'Ten Most Influential Figures in Sport in 2012' by the CBC. In 2013, Kelly was the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal.

Prof. Jeff French is a recognised global leader in the theory and application of behaviour change and social marketing. Jeff has over 35 years' experience at the interface between governments, public, private and the NGO sector. In March 2005 through to July 2009 managed the National Social Marketing Centre for the Government of England. In August 2009 Jeff became the Chief Executive of Strategic Social Marketing Ltd.
